ONI Press at PAX West 2009 With Lars Brown’s North World, and the Charity Premiere of the Scott Pilgrim Season Six Poster
Oni Press will be in Seattle for this year’s Penny Arcade Expo West, which runs from September 4th - 6th, and will be based out of booth #3004.
Oni Press creator Lars Brown will be on hand throughout the weekend singing copies of North World volumes 1 & 2, his the RPG meets real life graphic novel series. He’ll also have North World t-shirts, button packs, and original sketches.
Whilst Bryan Lee O’Malley cannot attend the event, Oni will also be be premiering O’Malley’s new Scott Pilgrim Season 6 cast poster, as shown on Hypergeek a few days ago. The poster, coasting $5, will be 18″ x 24″, with colours by Dylan McCrae, and is a parody/homage of the Capcom game Gem Fighter/Pocket Fighter, from 1997
Bryan Lee O’Malley has asked that 100% of the poster’s proceeds earned at PAX West 2009 be donated directly to Child’s Play Charity www.childsplaycharity.org. As a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of hospitalized children since 2003, Child’s Play has provided millions of dollars worth of toys and games to a network of over 60 hospitals worldwide.
According to O’Malley the posters will also be made available online after the event, and should be available at his future con appearances, providing thy can get more printed after the current run has sold out, because it is insanely popular!
