Dan Abnett and Richard Elson’s 2000 AD Classic ‘Kingdom’ Released in the US
2000 AD just sent over this promotional press release about the North American release of Kingdom: The Promised Land, the trade paper back collection of the classic thrill by Dan Abnett and Richard Elson. If you are a fan of either of these brilliant creators, I would highly recommend picking this collection up. It’s one of my favourite thrills of the last decade, and one of the best things that Dan Abnett has ever written. Note: be prepared for lots of puns!
I somehow managed to get a copy in the mail last week, which shipped from Amazon.com. They have it in stock for only $14.81!
Genetically engineered dog soldiers fighting giant insects in a post-apocalyptic landscape – New York Times best seller Dan Abnett and Richard Elson’s high-octane hit Kingdom: The Promised Land is hitting US stores this week!
Charged by the urgings of their Masters, the pack led by alpha male Gene the Hackman, patrols the land and scraps Them – an army of enormous bugs whose relentless rise gives the pack its mission: keep Them off of their lawn!
But Them are many and, as the pack is diminished, Gene is drawn toward one of The Masters, changing his world forever.
With its blistering artwork and powerful story, Kingdom is the ongoing series that has taken legendary British comic 2000 AD readers by storm – a dystopian vision of the future where man’s best friend becomes his only hope!

Already well known for his runs on major titles such as Punisher, X-Men and The Authority as well as his prolific work for Warhammer 40k, Abnett’s wildly imaginative world-building has crafted a story that is fresh and original. Combined with art from Elson, known for his Marvel Zombies Return work with Seth Graheme Smith, the effect is explosive!
$18.99 (US) $21.99 (Canada) 144 pages ISBN 978-1-907519-87-1
