Ashley Wood to Offer San Diego Comic Con 2011 Exclusive Robot
From the press release:
In addition to being a guest of the show, world-renowned artist Ashley Wood will be offering a variant robot toy at San Diego Comic Con. The toy will be available only at the Con and will be limited to 300. Fans will be able to pre-order the robot from IDW Publishing beginning early next week.
The Ashley Wood San Diego Comic Con 2011 Robot will only be available for pick up at the convention and will not be shipped. Quantities are limited to two per person.
Late yesterday, IDW opened the robot for sale and encountered technical difficulties due to the extremely high demand for the toy. The sale is being moved to a different server and will be available again next week. The robot will not be on sale again today or over the weekend.
For all those who ordered the robot already, please note the following:
If your order was successfully processed, you will receive two emails from IDW by end of business today. The first email will acknowledge your order and offer important information about the robot. The second email will be your official order receipt. You MUST bring your receipt to Comic Con to pick up your robot.
All previous emails regarding orders were a result of the technical difficulties with the store site.
Quantities are limited to two (2) robots per person. If you ordered more, all orders over two will be cancelled.
The robot is available for pick up at San Diego Comic Con only. If you ordered the robot to be shipped, please look for an email from IDW regarding this.
Any and all questions regarding the robot should be sent to store (at) idwpublishing.com
Thanks and see you at the Con!
