DC Announces ‘RetroActive’ One-Shots
This weekend at WonderCon 2011, DC Comics’ VP of Sales, Bob Wayne, announced the RetroActive project.
Published throughout July and August 2011, RetroActive is set to reunite classic writers and artists with classic characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Justice League of America - returning to the interpretations they are best known for. Each of these series will have 3 one-shots that pay homage respectively to the‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. Each decade of the Retro-Active project will be presented in the style that a comic of said decade actually looked, and to that end, for each decade they will sport a different logo treatment, which is representative of that era.
Each title in the series will feature 26 new story pages with 20 pages of classic stories, running at $4.99 a piece.
Listed below, you will find the writers involved with each title. DC have not yet revealed the artists, but I will be sure to keep you posted.
