Bluewater’s Mark Zuckerberg Biography Comic Sells Out
From the press release:
ZUCKERBERG BIOGRAPHY COMIC SELLS OUT, GRAPHIC NOVEL FOLLOW UP PLANNED
The latest biography comic offerings from Bluewater Productions, “Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook” has sold out days after its release. This extends its record to nine biography comic book title sell outs in the past seven months.
Bluewater will not be authorizing a second, single-issue printing. Instead, the Vancouver, WA-based comic book publisher will be adding expanded story content, pin-ups and other illustrated extras as part of a 48-page graphic novel submission available in July.
“There was a lot of buzz regarding this particular title outside the traditional comic book buying demographic,” said Darren G. Davis, president of Bluewater, Facebook fans and Zuckerberg detractors have sought this title out, so I am hoping we earned a ‘Like.’”
Released in March, “Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook” traces the meteoric rise of the sometimes controversial internet visionary. According to Bluewater, the story, written by freelance journalist Jerome Maida and illustrated by Sal Field, offers a more balanced portrait of Facebook’s founder than the recent Oscar-nominated movie “The Social Network.”
The graphic novel, scheduled for a September release, will sport a new cover drawn by notable comic book artist Joe Phillips. It will retail for $10.99 and be available through traditional retail outlets, comic book shops and several online venues including Amazon.com and the Barnes and Noble and Borders online stores.
