According to The Hollywood Reporter, Summit is in negotiations to pick up Crosshair, an action comic book from Top Cow Productions.

David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are attached as producers, while Morgan Foehl is attached as the writer. Top Cow’s Marc Silvestri and Matt Hawkins are executive producing along with Mandeville’s David Manpearl. Jeff Katz and Marc Silvestri are co-producing.

Summit is in the midst of making deals for the rights to the comic, the producers and writer.

Crosshair #1 was actually a one-shot that was part of Top Cow’s 2010 Pilot Season contest. The story was written by Jeff Katz, with artwork by Allan Jefferson and Jordi Terragona.

The story centers on a former CIA assassin-turned-suburban dad who must race against the clock to stop a program inside his brain from turning him into an unstoppable killing machine whose target is the U.S. president.
