The Spanish Inquisition Returns to Midtown Comics

Midtown Comics in New York City will present three visiting artist from Spain: CAFU, Pere Perez and Bit. The artists will be signing and sketching for fans at Midtown Comics’ Downtown location.
CAFU’s first work for DC Comics was for Manhunter #30. After that, he moved to Marvel to work on titles like The Avengers, Black Panther, and X-Men: Die by the Sword. He returned to DC to produce Vixen: Return of the Lion and eleven chapters of the Captain Atom co-feature in Action Comics, with inks by Bit. After penciling War of the Supermen #3, and part of issue 4, and signing an exclusivity contract with the company, CAFU is penciling the new T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents ongoing for DC Comics.
Pere Perez’s past work includes Dragonlance Chronicles, Army of Darkness, and Superman Secret Files 2009, and he can now be seen on books like Action Comics Annual and Superman, with a recently finished run on the Action Comics ongoing book. After penciling Batgirl #10, 12 and 13, and the Batgirl issue of Bruce Wayne: The Road Home, Pere worked on Batman: Return of Bruce Wayne #5 & #6. He’s currently working on Batgirl #17.
Bit started his career in American comic books inking Batman: Gotham Knights, Martian Manhunter, and Teen Titans. After that he started working on books like Batman and the Outsiders, Oracle, Action Comics, World’s Finest, Adventure Comics, and Superman 80-Page Giant (a story he also colored). He’s worked with CAFU on books like Vixen: Return of the Lion, and, for Marvel, Black Panther. For DC he did a Zatanna / Black Canary story in JLA 80-Page Giant vol. 2 #1 (pencils, inks, and colors).Currently he’s inking CAFU on the new T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents ongoing series.
The Spanish Inquisition returns to New York, thanks to talent rep David Macho Gomez, who brought a different group of artists from Spain for an exciting event at Midtown Comics last year.
