Marvel to Relaunch Captain America with New #1 Issue, and Steve Rogers Back in the Suit!
According to Rich Johnston over at Bleeding Cool, Marvel are looking to reboot their Captain America series, which is currently solicited up to issue #618. The move will come in June, to coincide with the July 22nd release of the Captain America: The First Avenger movie, with Marvel obviously thinking that new fans are far more likely to jump onboard the series with issue #1 than they would be with an issue in the 600s. In addition, it looks like they will be putting Steve Rogers back in the suit, again, a move that was again likely made with the film in mind.
Predictable? Yeah pretty much. I can’t say I blame them though. Trying to get fans to read a Captain America series that doesn’t actually have the true Captain America in it would be a hell of a challenge.
It looks like Ed Brubaker will still be writing the series thankfully), with Travis Charest providing covers. No artist has yet been announced, but we can probably expect Marvel to reveal more details at C2E2 this weekend.

Cool article, but that’s Ed McGuiness’ art you’ve got there, not Travis Charet’s.
And I just realized I spelled Travis’ last name wrong
