Avatar Announces Crossed: Badlands as Ongoing Series
This last weekend at C2E2, Avatar Press announced that in 2012, they will be launching Crossed: Badlands - an ongoing series, set in the same world as Crossed, Crossed: Family Values, and Crossed: Psychopath.
The ongoing series will have a rotating team of creators, who will change on an ‘arc’ basis, with the first arc to be written by the original Crossed team of Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows. The second arc is set to be written by Jamie Delano, but no artist has yet been announced.
I’m pretty pleased to learn this news. I’ve really been enjoying Crossed, both the original series, and David Lapham’s continuation, and think the world has a lot of potential for new stories. However, I’m not too keen on the artwork on Psychopath, so hopefully Avatar can rustle up some more artists who come close to Jacen Burrows’ quality!
