Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark Gets New Finale, Major Changes Still to Come!
Earlier this week, Entertainment Weekly reported that a new new finale of aerial acrobatics performed by Spider-Man had been added to Spider-Man Turn off the Dark. The new stunts have replaced the show’s old ending, in which a curtain dropped abruptly from the ceiling after a bit of dialogue between Peter Parker and Mary Jane.
Today, they spoke to actress T.V. Carpio who told them that there are still significant changes being made to the musical in preparation for its opening on March 15th. Carpio is set to play the role of Arachne in the production, and took over the role after original actress Nataie Mendoza was injured. She told EW that says director Julie Taymor is in the process of implementing “major changes in the second act, which will make things more clear and better,” specifically targeting the climactic battle between the arch-villainess Arachne and Peter Parker.
Wow! After being delayed several time already, I wonder if this thing will even meet the new March 15th opening date!
