Ninth Character of Stan Lee’s NHL Guardian Project Revealed - The Wild
The ninth character of Stan Lee’s NHL Guardian Project has been revealed as The Wild.
With the Guardian Project, Lee intends to create a superhero to represent each of the NHL’s 30 teams. Each Guardian is derived from its corresponding hockey team, complete with special powers representative of each team and city. Every day for the first 30 days in January, the winning Guardians will be revealed at 7 pm CT with an exclusive image designed by legendary comic book artist Neal Adams along with their bio.

The Wild (Minnesota)
“The Wild” is a version of raw power coupled with brilliant intellect, bringing together the varied traditions of the Wolfman with Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. He is an intellectual and avid reader, taken from the fact that the Minneapolis-St. Paul area is one of the most highly literate in the country. At one moment, he is a deadly serious problem solver, the next an irreverent adventurer.
“The Wild” isn’t so much a superhero as he is a force of nature. He only has super abilities when he is in his “Wild” form although his incredible intelligence is nearly a super power on its own. Knowing his volatile side can be dangerously unpredictable; the Wild chains himself up at night so as not to cause any unnecessary mayhem. The other Guardians respect him and his wild-side but they also know its’ destructive potential. As a nod to Minnesota’s mining history, the Wild can also use his razor sharp claws to tunnel through the earth’s crust allowing him to sneak up on enemy fortresses
