New Picture of Andrew Garfield in Full Spider-Man Costume! Web-Shooters Clearly Visible!
MTV’s Splashpage blog has a new image of Andrew Garfield in Full Spider-Man Costume, from the Los Angeles set of Sony’s upcoming reboot/requel of the “Spider-Man “movie franchise.
I have to say, the costume looks a lot more cartoony in this shot than the previously released image. I kind of liked the darker look of that image. However, that may just be too do with the lighting, because it looks like they have floodlights on him here.
UPDATE: I just realized, this costume looks a lot like something from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! WTF?
Rick’s got some interesting observations on the costume, and some great close-ups on the web-shooters in the wrists of the costume, which were only partially visible in the previous image of Garfield in the costume. Head on over to Spashpage to read his analysis.
The new movie is directed by Marc Webb, and is set to reboot the Spider-Man movie franchise with a much younger Peter Parker, who is still in high-school. The film is said to take its inspiration from Ultimate Spider-Man, by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley.
The cast includes Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, as well as Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Campbell Scott, C. Thomas Howell, Julianne Nicholson and Annie Parisse.
The release date has been set as July 3, 2012.
