CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago might be the new home for the next generation of cartoonists.

The Museum of Contemporary Art is displaying the work of four young cartoonists. The exhibit is called “New Chicago Comics.” It runs through Jan. 30.

Museum curator Michael Green says there’s a younger generation of cartoonists in the city and they’re producing high-quality work.

Paul Hornschemeier is the author of the graphic novel “The Three Paradoxes” and he’s one of the artists featured in the show.

He tells the Chicago Sun-Times that the city is relatively affordable, has a prominent art school and an expanding community of artists.

He says the cold weather helps too. That’s because there’s less incentive to go outside and get distracted from getting work done.
