Marvel Announces The Mighty Thor By Fraction & Coipel
I just received word from Marvel Comics that Thor by Matt fraction and Pasqual Ferry will come to an end, with issue #621 in March. Then in April, they will be debuting The Mighty Thor #1… by Matt Fraction and Oliver Coipel!
Look, I don’t want to sound like a curmudgeon, but doesn’t that seem a little unnecessary? Do we really need another #1 issue of a long running series? I mean, clearly Marvel are doing this to try and lure over fans from the Thor movie that is released around this time, by giving the impression that The Mighty Thor is all-new, and its a great jumping on point. But are people really the gullible? What am I saying, they probably are…
Still, with Fraction involved, it’s sure to be a good story. I mean, I’ve really been enjoying his run on Thor, I’d just prefer that instead of being called The Might Thor #1, this was titled Thor #622. We all know that Marvel will just return it to the original numbering scheme after about a year or so!
