Zombie Epic Crosses into G.I. JOE and Ghostbusters
Next Chapter of IDW Multi-Title Event
IDW’s one of a kind. multi-dimensional event continues in March as the zombie epidemic moves into the worlds of G.I. JOE and the GHOSTBUSTERS!
Kicking off January 2011, fan-favorite writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (The Thanos Imperative, Legion of Super-Heroes) and artist David Messina (True Blood) begin this multi-dimensional saga with INFESTATION #1. The adventure continues in February with TRANSFORMERS: INFESTATION #1 and #2, and STAR TREK: INFESTATION #1 and #2. Each bi-weekly series pits star characters against hordes of the undead, courtesy of major comics creators.
The ravenous hordes spread to the worlds of the Ghostbusters and G.I. Joe in March. Writer Mike Raicht and artist Giovanni Timpano team up for the bi-weekly G.I. JOE: INFESTATION #1 and #2, while writer Erik Burnham and artist Kyle Hotz master GHOSTBUSTERS: INFESTATION #1 and #2.
“Infestation is the culmination of many months of planning, running through various what-if scenarios and basically looking for ways to upend our many established universes,” said Chris Ryall, IDW’s Chief Creative Officer. “All for the greater good of telling an exciting, multi-layered story and building toward new developments in the future, of course. Even if the affected characters might not agree with me… if they were still able to, that is.”
In G.I. JOE: INFESTATION, a robotic arm of unknown origin has been discovered and both the JOEs and COBRA race to discover its secrets. Little do the two sides know that the arm has its own agenda- assimilating the world’s military technology into the Infestation fold! A secret underwater COBRA base full of B.A.T.S. sounds like the perfect place to start!
Meanwhile, the Ghostbusters are dealing with a surplus of work thanks to a plague of poltergeists that resist long-term storage in the containment grid … and their job is only going to get harder when Britt’s zombies try to take a nibble out of the Big Apple in GHOSTBUSTER: INFESTATION!
The saga concludes in April with INFESTATION #2 again scripted by Abnett and Lanning, who bring anything but a happy ending for all known realities. In addition to multi-dimensional action, each INFESTATION series features must-have incentive covers, including the “zombie-fied” logo and sketch covers.

INFESTATION #2 will be available in stores on April 6, 2011.
