A Sneak Peek Look Inside the February 2011 Issue of Diamond’s Previews Magazine
The February edition of Diamond Comic Distributors’ PREVIEWS catalog arrives in comic shops, hobby stores, and other direct market outlets on February 2 and features comic books, graphic novels, toys, and additional pop culture products scheduled to go on sale beginning April 2011.
The front cover of the February PREVIEWS should electrify comic book fans, as it spotlights the launch of Marvel Comics’ all-new THE MIGHTY THOR ongoing series. The first issue of the God of Thunder’s new title features a story from the fan-favorite THOR creative team of writer Matt Fraction and illustrator Olivier Coipel, numerous variant covers from other fan-favorite artists, and a behind-the-scenes look at Marvel Studios THOR motion picture.
In the same month that Thor soars into his new series, one of the longest-running American comic book series, DC Comics’ ACTION COMICS, celebrates a new milestone with the release of its 900th issue, spotlighted with February PREVIEWS’ back cover. In 2010, longtime Superman nemesis Lex Luthor took center stage when he became the new star of Action Comics, the series that introduced the world to the Man of Steel and has traditionally been the hero’s comic book home. Now, Superman returns to this title in a historical, 100-page issue, leading to a new Superman vs. Lex Luthor battle befitting this landmark release.
