Darwyn Cooke Auctioning Original Artwork for The Hero Initiative
Wondering what to get me for Christmas? Well, how about a piece of original artwork from Darwyn Cooke’s adaptation of Parker: The Outfit?
This is just one of 12 items that Cooke is planning to auction off on eBay, with the proceeds set to go to The Hero Initiative, the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need.
Cooke plans to auction one piece of artwork every day, for 12 days, with the final few being single day auctions, so he can be sure to get everything shipped out before Christmas.
The first auction is for the aforementioned page of art from The Outfit, and went live at 10:21 PM on December 8th. The piece up for sale is page 12 of the book, which is second page of Chapter One. The Artwork is 8.5 inches by 14 inches and is finished with black ink and blue watercolor on Strathmore bristol.

Cook states on his blog that “the following days will see some strange and rare pieces, ranging from cheap and cheerful to key pages from some of my favorite projects”.
