The Walking Dead Episode 5 Pulls in Highest Series Ratings Yet
TV by the Numbers has revealed that last weekend’s fifth episode of The Walking Dead, titled ‘Wildfire’, was the most highly rated episode of the series, to date! The episode, which aired on Sunday 27th Nov, was watched by 5.6 million views, ranking it higher than the series premiere, which had 5.3 million viewer.
That’s a pretty remarkable achievement, considering the fact that the premiere was the highest ranked episode of an AMC show ever recorded. It’s also pretty rare to see ratings going up during a season, as the trend is for shows to start with higher ratings than they end with.
Here are the complete ratings, so far:
Date | Program | Live+SD 18-49 Rating | Live+SD Viewers (Millions) |
28-Nov | The Walking Dead | 2.8 | 5.6 |
21-Nov | The Walking Dead | 2.4 | 4.8 |
14-Nov | The Walking Dead | 2.5 | 5.074 |
7-Nov | The Walking Dead | 2.5 | 4.707 |
31-Oct | The Walking Dead | 2.7 | 5.345 |
