The Cartoon Art Museum welcomes Beverly Gherman as she discusses and signs copies of her new book Sparky: The Life and Art of Charles Schulz. Her all-ages biography presents an insightful look into the life and career of one of the most beloved cartoonists of all time. The museum bookstore will host Gherman from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, October 9, 2010.
About Beverly Gherman:
Beverly Gherman has written biographies about authors, dancers, presidents, scientists and, of course, artists. Her engaging child-accessible style has won her many fans and many awards, including a California Library Beatty Award, a Booklist Editor’s Choice, an SCBWI Golden Kite Honor, a Smithsonian Notable Book, and an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award. Ms. Gherman lives in San Francisco.
