It’s been rumoured for some time, but Joss Whedon confirmed during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con today that he would be directing the upcoming Avengers movie.

“I’m directing The Avengers,” he confussed, continuing to say that “The thing I love about it is how completely counter-intuitive it is. These people should not be in the same room, much less the same team. The very definition of family.”

Lets hope it turns out better than Dollhouse!
