Stan Lee to Create a New Multimedia Comic Property, Super Seven
The Hollywood Reporter has the news that Stan Lee has partnered with A Squared Entertainment and Archie Comics to create a multimedia comic book property, Super Seven.
Super Seven will be about seven aliens who find themselves stranded on Earth after their spaceship crashes and are befriended by Stan Lee himself. Taking them under his care, Lee becomes their leader and enables them to resume their lives as superheroes.
Lee told THR that “Although I’ve briefly appeared in other comics, ‘Super Seven’ is the first time that I’ll actually be a continuing character in a far-out, original superhero series”.
Archie Comics will publish the series, and A Squared Entertainment will focus on developing the project as a TV series and online property, as well as handling licensing and merchandising.
The project is targeted for a fall launch in print, online and on TV.
