Concept Video for ComiXology’s Comics App on the iPad
By now everybody knows what Apple’s iPad is, so I wont regurgitate the specs here. I haven’t been talking about it on the site, because really it doesn’t directly affect comics. Everyone was thinking this would revolutionize digital comics, but with the lack of support for PDFs, CBR, and Flash, it doesn’t really look that is about to happen. However, I’ve been discussing the topic to death all day on Facebook and Twitter, and had to concede the point that there are some decent comic viewing apps on the iPhone, and many of them will appear on the iPad, except with a bigger screen.
This didn’t really hit home until I saw this mock-up of what Comixology’s Comics app could look like on the iPad, and it made me drool on my keyboard!
