Hi guys,

Apart from a little drunk posting from the hotel lobby on Friday night, I have been without comics or the internet for 3 days. It was pretty hard at first, but I got used to it after a while It might have helped that the countryside out where I went was absolutely stunning. We went to Salmon Arm B.C. which is nestled in the mountains between Vancouver and Calgary. There was a huge lake, and Fir trees stretching to the horizon in every direction you looked. Quite breath taking. We actually stayed in Kamloops, the “big city”, so we didn’t bump into the people that the surprise party was thrown for. It was quite odd because Kamloops was just in the next valley over, but the valley was arid tundra, with bluffs, arroyos, and other such things. It was quite beautiful in a desolate sort of way.

I took about 250 photos, which I’ll upload at some point. I shoot in Canon RAW format, I then adjust certain aspects like white balance and exposure in Canon DPP, convert to TIFF, then adjust colours and sharpness in Photoshop, with Fred Miranda plugins. As you can imagine, this takes some time, but produces really good results.

I’ll try to post something later on, when I’ve caught up with all the comic news. Right, back to the day job…..
